Double-Edged Swords
(This is for April.)
This city has NO street signs. None. It’s as if Venice decreed, “We shalt hath not directions.” Like you’ll see a sign saying, “San Marco, THIS WAY!!!!” at one intersection, then at the next nothing. How the poo are you supposed to know where to go next? This is a test. The city is testing me. I don’t like it.
But on the brightside, this getting lost has allowed me to see alot of the city. When I finally made it back to my room yesterday, I realized I had walked along the entire diagonal of the mainland Venice. Impressed? Mhmm, thought so. Yesterday, Stephanie and I got lost and instead found a BOMB-ASS Chinese restaurant. I know, I know. I ate Chinese food in Italy. But it was hella cheap and right there, and that combo is something to be cherished in this economy.
Off to my second 2 and a half hour class.
